Luca Stoppini started his work experience in 1981 as part of Edizioni Condé Nast’s creative team. Over the next few years, he worked with the best of international fashion photography, such as Helmut Newton, Peter Lindbergh, Paolo Roversi, Bruce Weber and in 1991, he became art director of Vogue Italia. Also in 1991, Luca Stoppini founded LucaStoppiniStudio his own creative consultancy and communication studio in Milan that deals with creating advertising campaigns, brand strategy, editorial and curatorial projects, facilities and management of major brand events in the world of fashion and design. For over 20 years, he has collaborated between Milan, Paris and New York with prestigious international brands, publishing houses, museums, theatres and foundations from all over the world. Major collaborations include: Armani, Chanel, David Yurman, Dolce&Gabbana, Moncler, Moschino, Valentino, Fendi, Gianfranco Ferré, Yohji Yamamoto, Fila, EPI Holding, Confindustria Italia, Skira Editore, La Nave di Teseo, Thames & Hudson, Assouline, Phaidon, Rizzoli Usa, La Triennale di Milano, Biennale di Venezia, Fondation Cartier Pour L’ Art Contemporain Paris, Victoria & Albert Museum London, Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Teatro Due Parma, Teatro La Fenice Venezia e Teatro Stabile Torino. During his creative career, he developed a great passion for design which encouraged him to design limited edition pieces for major international galleries. In fact, he always used the graphic sign to express himself: the definition and visualization of a shape, a silhouette, the contamination of multiple worlds and the continuous research of inspiration are the starting points of the design. Not only designer and graphic designer, but also pure artist, Stoppini has experienced with a variety of materials and techniques, he has created two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks and images that have been displayed in solo and group exhibitions around the world, becoming part of some important contemporary art collections. Among his most suitable tools, we recall the quick and versatile mode to take visual notes non-stop, to record situations and moments on the spot, as well as to record and transpose topics, suggestions and colours. In his work as an artist, even the digital camera has become a pleasant and essential extension of Luca Stoppini’s eyes, a way of approaching, detecting and entering into various situations. For him, the lens becomes the ideal tool for deciphering life forms and the dynamics of art.
